Remain Weather Aware on Mother’s Day

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- The “Gulf Low” that we have been tracking has brought severe storms across the southern half of the area. One supercell has tracked all the way from Florida and led to several tornado warnings locally.

Tonight: Storms will continue to bubble up for the rest of the evening, but the severe weather threat has diminished. Temperatures tonight will drop into the lower 60s.

Mother’s Day: Another round of strong to severe storms will be possible tomorrow afternoon. Our severe threat is low, but any storms that pop up could become severe. Our primary concern will be flash flooding, as any storm could bring heavy rainfall.

Monday-Wednesday: This pesky system will continue to linger for a few days. We will continue to see rain through Wednesday afternoon as the low clears out. Wednesday, we will start to see more sunshine despite the few showers.

Thursday-Next Saturday: Conditions will clear once again for the end of the school week. With sunshine comes warmer temperatures. Highs will jump into the 90s Thursday afternoon and they will continue to warm into the mid-90s by the weekend…
