Drier, toasty end to the week

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- The low pressure system that has brought storms and heavy rain is continuing to clear out of our forecast.

Wednesday: One more day of pop up showers will be possible tomorrow. However, most areas will remain dry. Temperatures will be even warmer in the afternoon, reaching into the upper 80s.

Thursday: Our first 90 degree day of the year is on the way this week. Right now, we are set to hit the mark on Thursday (May 15th). Since we normally see our first 90s during the second week of May, we are right on track.

The weekend: Lower 90s will linger in the forecast, and so will the humidity. We are tracking a system that could impact weekend plans. Isolated storms are possible starting Saturday, and they are set to clear Sunday. Much remains uncertain with this system right now, so stay with the First Alert Weather Team.

Next Week: Conditions will clear back out for next week, but the heat will continue. Highs will remain in the 90s with lows in the 70s…
