Keeping rain and storms in the forecast

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – There is an enhanced chance of showers and storms these next couple days. It won’t be a washout, but some storms will be around just about on a daily basis for the next several days. The Storm Team 9 forecast is calling for fewer storms overall as next week progresses, which will allow the heat to build.

More clouds than sun most of Friday. Very warm and muggy with highs in the upper 80s. Scattered showers and storms fire up during the afternoon and evening, but the highest coverage is expected late afternoon and perhaps especially during the evening hours. Remember, to head indoors when thunder roars.

Any rain and storms leftover this evening will continue to rumble. Any one spot shouldn’t see rain for more than an hour or two. Lows early Saturday and for the foreseeable future will be in the low to mid 70s…
