Revolutionary War soldier honored by Wreaths Across America for Independence Day

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Revolutionary War soldier, Samuel Cooper, was honored by community members and the boy scouts in Columbus in light of Independence Day.

Cooper Creek and Cooper Creek Park both bear the soldier’s name.

The soldier was honored through Revolutionary War characters at the corner of Warm Springs and Miller Roads, in the area where his gravesite is located.
