Phenix City seeks input on redevelopment project from HWY 280 to Chattahoochee River

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – Phenix City residents could soon see significant changes in the areas from Highway 280 and Crawford Road down to the Chattahoochee River.

According to city officials, the city was given a $440,000 grant to use to redevelop the areas, and they are asking for the public’s input on what should be done.

Economic Development Manager Shaun Culligan said they will be using the grant money to make it safer for residents who live in that area of Phenix City by redoing sidewalks and “beautifying” the area, and also bringing improvements to everyone who drives on the roadways…
