COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A Columbus apartment complex is set to receive a $3.8 million renovation, but current tenants say they’re struggling to find affordable housing before construction begins.
Havenbrook Square Apartments, located off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, was built in 1965. The new owner plans to revamp the decades-old property with new roofing, appliances, plumbing and wiring.
But with those upgrades comes displacement. Tenants were recently issued a letter notifying them they have 60 days to move out during the renovation period…
