Water services restored at East Columbus apartment complex after owner reportedly didn’t pay bill, officials say

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Water services have been restored at the Ballard Way Apartments in East Columbus after residents told WRBL News 3 that they’ve been without water services since Monday.

Ballard Way is the former Hunter Haven Apartments on Hunter Road.

WRBL News 3 learned that the water was shut off by Columbus Water Works on Monday after the owners of the complex were behind on their water bill.

In most cases, Columbus Water Works usually places residents and commercial customers on a disconnect list after 60 days of nonpayment, but for apartment complexes, residents are notified through signs posted by the water company for 14 days.
