COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – We could see more and more homeless people soon in Columbus if more affordable housing doesn’t become available, say leaders with United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. That potential increase is not unique to the Fountain City, but it’s been an issue local leaders have been talking about a lot lately.
Tyera Gates says she’s been living in a hotel room for the past two months. She says this has been an emotional journey for her, calling several community organization for help only to realize the resources are running thin.
