COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Sick of the clouds and rain? We finally have a drier pattern on the way! We still have a chance of showers and storms over the next few days, but they are becoming more isolated in nature. We will start to see clouds clearing out, giving way to more sunshine as well as warmer temperatures. High temperatures will be returning to the low to mid 90s across the Valley, with heat indices reaching the triple digits. These warmer, drier conditions are thanks to a high pressure ridge building in. This is going to return us to a more typical summertime pattern where we have mostly sunny conditions allowing us to heat up, along with a slight chance of afternoon pop-up storms each day. The summertime heat is back and here to stay, but look forward to getting to enjoy more time…..
