The National Weather Service released a flood advisory at 2:32 p.m. on Friday in effect until 5:45 p.m. for Lee County.
The weather service says, “Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”
“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas,” says the weather service. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
