Alabama State Rep. Jeremy Gray (District 83) announced the distribution of $14,500 in Community Service Grant funds to support the work of five impactful nonprofit organizations serving Russell County. The grant funding was awarded to: The Focus Initiative, The Phenix City Christmas, Phenix City-Russell County NAACP #5050, The Phoenix Initiative, and Phenix City Mayor and Council Ball.
The presentation took place outside Synovus Bank in Phenix City, where representatives from each organization gathered for a group photo with Gray and the ceremonial check.
“These organizations are on the front lines of serving our community — whether it’s uplifting youth, preserving cultural traditions, advocating for civil rights, or fostering unity,” said Gray. “It’s an honor to use my office’s Community Service Grant funds to help strengthen their efforts and continue making a positive difference in Russell County.”…
