COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – It’s considered the oldest home in Columbus, located right in the heart of Uptown. The Walker-Peters-Langdon House was built in 1828, directly across the street from where it sits today as a museum on 716 Broadway.
“Historic Columbus acquired this home in 1967 from the Langdon family, who lived in the home for over 100 years,” Palmer Colson explained on behalf of the organization.
Before the Langdons, family stories traced this home to Nathaniel Peters. According to Historic Columbus, it was later realized that Virgil Walker was the original property owner of lot 138; he paid $105 for it…
