COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A major shift is coming at the top levels of the U.S. Army, but leaders say it will not affect operations or jobs at Fort Benning.
The Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, known as TRADOC, will hold an inactivation ceremony in Virginia this Friday. That command will merge with the Army Forces Command, creating a new four-star major command called the Transition and Training Command, or T2COM. The new command officially takes over next week.
Army officials confirm that while the post will now report to a command with a different name, no positions at Fort Benning will be eliminated…
