COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Museum announced that it is honored to present Hadieh Shafie: Beautiful Words, the first solo museum exhibition in the United States for internationally acclaimed Iranian-American artist Hadieh Shafie, according to officials.
Officials say the exhibition brings together Shafie’s celebrated paper scroll works and large-scale reliefs, marking a milestone moment in her career and a significant opportunity for the audiences in the United States to experience her practice in depth.
“By rolling, layering, and embedding text in physical form, I invite viewers to confront language as matter, to sense its mass, its density, and its potential to hold and conceal meaning,” said Shafie.
