Columbus police assistant chief credits advanced technology on swift apprehension of suspect accused of fatal home invasion

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus police say modern technology played a key role in the swift arrest of a suspect who’s accused of Monday night’s deadly shooting on Brookstone Boulevard.

Assistant Police Chief Lance Deaton said investigators took just under 12 hours to identify and arrest 26-year-old Antanavious Butler, accused of shooting and killing 65-year-old Norman Lane.
