PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — Newly elected Phenix City Council members officially took office Monday, marking the start of a new term for city leadership.
During the organizational meeting, council members appointed Councilmember-at-Large Jasponica Florence as mayor pro tem.
Florence is the only new member of the council, replacing outgoing Councilman Dr. Griff Gordy.
