COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – High school and college students connected with area business leaders Thursday during the 35th annual Cufflinks and Pearls networking event, part of the activities surrounding this weekend’s Fountain City Classic.
The event featured a panel discussion focused on career skills for students from Albany State University and Fort Valley State University, as well as local high schools. The networking event has become a tradition during Fountain City Classic week, which culminates with the football game between the two universities.
“The panel discussion was very future forward, they focused on soft skills that students should have or at least be working towards and I was super excited to be a part of that discussion and to bring those notes back to Shaw High School,” said Destiny Elliott, a Columbus resident and teacher at Shaw High School.
