Big November cold snap

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The much anticipated colder air has arrived. It stays with us through Wednesday morning before a quick warm up replaces it.

Cold and windy Monday despite the mostly sunny sky. Highs will only climb into the 40s, but it will feel like the 30s most of the day because of the brisk winds.

Clear and very cold Monday night. Make sure you cover up or bring in the plants. Pets should also be inside. A bit breezy with a widespread freeze expected. Lows early Tuesday will mostly be in the mid 20s to near 30 degrees. Temperatures will be within a couple degrees of the record low for November 11. It will feel like the low to mid 20s when the wind blows.

Still cold Tuesday, which is Veterans Day. Sunny with highs in the low 50s. Winds will relax during the day.

A frost/freeze is likely in many spots Wednesday with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s…
