CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY (WRBL) — Officials with Phenix City Schools and the Muscogee County School District shared statements in response to a list posted on social media referencing a shooting threat against schools. MCSD officials deemed the threat not credible.
A post on Instagram showed a photo with “school shooting” at the top that lists several schools in the Bi-City area. The list caused concerns and prompted officials to reach out to the community.
The list included the following schools:
- Midland Middle School
- East Columbus Magnet Academy
- Rothschild Middle School
- Fort Middle School
- Baker Middle School
- Shaw High School
- Phenix City Intermediate School
- Eddy Middle School
- Double Churches Middle School
