Keisha Lance Bottoms stops in Columbus during ‘Standing up for Georgia’ tour

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Georgia gubernatorial candidate and former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms brought her “Standing Up for Georgia” tour to Columbus.

Monday night, Bottoms marked her Columbus stop while meeting around 200 residents in Bibb City’s Comer Gymnasium.

Bottoms hosted a meet-and-greet, taking questions on everything from access to veterans’ services and health care, to the rising cost of living and basic infrastructure concerns like roads and housing. She told the crowd she’s using this tour to hear directly from voters, and to find out what issues Georgians say are impacting their families the most.

“It’s an opportunity not just for people to hear from me, but most importantly from for me to hear from them.” Bottoms said, “what I’m finding is no matter where we are in the state, there are a lot of common threads with a lot of these challenges.”…
