COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Jurors in the high-profile murder, kidnapping and rape trial of a Columbus woman heard emotional testimony Tuesday from a responding police officer and the victim’s mother.
Stacey Gray, 55, is accused of raping and killing 25-year-old Renee Eldridge on July 4, 2015.
Prosecutors say Eldridge was attacked inside her home off 46th Street in Columbus before her body was found three days later in a creek in Valley, Alabama.
