COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The murder trial of Stacey Gray entered its second week Monday in Muscogee County Superior Court, where prosecutors continued laying the groundwork for a DNA-driven case.
Gray, 55, of Salem, Ala., is charged in the 2015 rape, kidnapping and murder of 25-year-old Renee Eldridge. Prosecutors also allege Gray raped Eldridge in her Columbus home six months before she was killed.
District Attorney Don Kelly called Devan Fleming, a former Piedmont Columbus Regional emergency room nurse certified in sexual assault investigations.
