ALABAMA — A man is in custody following the shooting death of 43-year-old Marcus Jacquez Strickland.
Authorities responded to a home off Lee Road 41 around 1 a.m. Sunday, where they found Strickland’s body. A death investigation was immediately launched.
Police identified 44-year-old David Lavar Preston, an acquaintance of Strickland, as a suspect. Members of the Lee County SWAT team located Preston at a home on Lee Road 117 in Cusseta. He was taken into custody and charged with murder…
