Runway opens at Columbus airport after major construction

Commercial flights are officially back at the Columbus airport after several months of a runway construction project. Delta’s inaugural return flight touched down at CSG last Friday, marking the restart of commercial service after a three-month hiatus due to reconstruction on our main runway. Delta will be continuing their connection service providing three daily flights to Atlanta with the first departing at 6:25 AM.

Dubbed the CSG Runway 6/24 Project, the reconstruction of the main runway cost an estimated $24 million to rebuild. Construction began August 5, 2025, and lasted through November 27, 2025. The airport will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting Mixer to celebrate the reopening and completed…..
