PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — A Phenix City man is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted in the 2019 arson deaths of an elderly couple. After five hours of deliberation, Judge Zachary Collins sent jurors home for the weekend.
Ricky Mack Morris has been on trial in the Russell County Circuit Court for the deaths of his former landlords, 80-year-old Abner Garnto and 79-year-old Martha Garnto, in June 2019.
