Winter Is Officially Here, But Christmas Week Won’t Feel Like It!

SUNDAY:Clouds have moved in this morning keep our temps up in the 40s, while south of Columbus, temps are mostly in the 30s due to less cloud cover. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies for your Sunday with some stray showers possible as a weak front moves through the region. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Today is also the first official day of Winter as the Northern Hemisphere is tilted the furthest away from the sun, giving us the shortest day, but longest night of the year. After today, our days begin to get longer, and nights shorter.

CHRISTMAS WEEK:The big story is going to be the warm temperatures this week as we get into the 70s by Tuesday, and stay there through the rest of the week. In fact, mid 70s are likely Christmas Eve (Wednesday) and Christmas Day (Thursday). Overnight lows this week will be in the 50s after Monday morning lows in the 40s. Friday and Saturday we could see some pop up showers, but not much rainfall is expected, if any…
