Elderly woman dies days after crash in Lee County

LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVM) – An Opelika woman has died after being injured in a crash on U.S. 280 in Lee County Saturday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 81-year-old Betty Burke sustained critical injuries when the car she was driving struck another vehicle. The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. about two miles west of Opelika.
