Showers Early Monday, Then COLD Air Arrives to End 2025!

TODAY:Yesterday we managed to reach 75° on Saturday, that’s 16 degrees warmer than average! Sunday will be very similar with highs again in the low to mid 70s. A stray shower can’t be ruled out, but most of you will stay dry.

MONDAY:Early Monday morning will feature warm temperatures again, but an arctic front arrives to finally bring in some much colder air. Ahead of the front, temperatures will be in the 60s with a few isolated showers. Then, a thin line of showers arrives very early Monday, around 6am. Behind it, the front moves through and winds turn from the southwest to out of the northwest, and temperatures will start to drop. Winds will be gusting close to 30 mph as the front moves through. Couple the winds with the falling temperatures and it’s going to feel even colder. By 6:00pm, we may be in the 40s, but the wind chills will be well into the 30s. As the sun sets, temps really dip, and by time we get up Tuesday morning, we’ll be in the 20s, with some areas with wind chills in the teens.

REST OF THE WEEK:Tuesday afternoon will feature lots of sunshine but highs probably won’t get out of the 40s! With winds still gusting to 10 to 15 mph, wind chills will be in the 30s and low 40s. New Year’s Eve morning (Wednesday) will be the coldest start with temperatures in the mid 20s, but thankfully, the winds will have calmed down some, but wind chills will still be close to 20°. Wednesday afternoon we will warm slightly with highs in the mid 50s. The warming trend continues the rest of the week, although New Year’s Day morning (Thursday), will still be pretty cold with temperatures down near freezing. Highs Thursday will be in the upper 50s under mostly sunny skies. Friday will start out quite nice and not as cold with mid 30s. Under mostly sunny skies temps will warm into the low 60s by the afternoon. A front enters the region, and with it, clouds will be increasing late. A late shower could be possible as well…
