COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus residents that purchased real Christmas trees this year can dispose of them in a eco-friendly way, thanks to the Keep Columbus Beautiful Commission.
Residents are being encouraged to recycle their Christmas trees after the holidays to protect local waterways and support healthy aquatic ecosystems. Columbus Consolidated Government officials say the trees will be repurposed to create fish habitats that strengthen ecosystems and improve water quality.
