Rain Arrives Tomorrow

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – We got to enjoy a beautifully sunny first day of the New Year, but we’ll have some clouds streaming in overnight, bringing us a mostly cloudy day with a chance of rain tomorrow. Friday morning lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s before we have a nice warm-up into the mid-60s.

Most of tomorrow’s rain looks to hold off until the evening, but a few showers could work their way in earlier. Rain continues overnight into Saturday, with a few spotty storms possible. The threat for severe weather remains very low (level 1 out of 5 Saturday), but lightning and localized gusty winds could come with this system.

Sunday, we will be dry and a touch cooler after a front slides through – highs in the low 60s, rather than the upper 60s that we’ll have on Saturday. We will only be briefly cooler as a warming trend takes hold to start the next week…
