COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)– Weather aware today as isolated storms move across the area, a few storms may become strong/severe with damaging wind s the primary threat, best time will be from 12 PM through 6 PM.
A stationary front is currently draped just south of Atlanta and this has provided early morning showers and rumbles of thunder. As the day progresses, this will begin to move and an area of low pressure will track across northern sections of the News 3 viewing area, the low pressure combined with a little bit of daytime heating will be enough for a few isolated strong to severe storms, especially for Columbus and areas south.
Not everyone will see a storm today and the threat will be on the lower end as a marginal risk is in place but you’ll still want to have multiple ways to receive watches and warnings…
