COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The first Sunday Conversation of 2026 is with Columbus Mayor Skip Henderson. The two-term mayor is entering the final year of a three-decade run in public office.
Our Chuck Williams asked him this question about his career and the fact that he has been on the citywide ballot since 1996. And he’s never lost a political race.
“It’s more humbling. I mean, it really is,” he said. “… Well, I understand that when you look at a landslide is 60-40. … That means four out of every 10 people didn’t vote for you. So that’s why I approached every single election is that if they reelect me, my job is to serve everybody, even the folks that fought like crazy not to see me in that office.”…
