PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (WRBL) — Mary Ruth Mullins made history Tuesday, becoming the first female mayor of Pine Mountain.
In a swearing-in ceremony that took place at the Pine Mountain Town Hall council chambers, Mullins was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Ron Mullins.
“Today is both a milestone and a promise,” Mullins said. “I am deeply honored to be sworn in as the first female mayor of Pine Mountain, and I accept this responsibility with gratitude for those who paved the way before me and determination to serve every resident with fairness, integrity, and heart. Together, we will honor our town’s rich history while working boldly toward a strong, welcoming future for Pine Mountain.”
