Dense fog advisory active for Central Alabama until Tuesday morning – quarter mile visibility

A dense fog advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 2:10 a.m. in effect until 9 a.m. for Randolph, Tallapoosa, Chambers, Marengo, Dallas, Autauga, Lowndes, Elmore, Montgomery, Macon, Bullock, Lee, Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.

The weather service states to expect, “Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.”

“Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” says the weather service. “If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.”
