Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded more than $43.8 million in grants to help low-income households across Alabama pay heating and cooling costs, including $881,019 for the Macon-Russell Community Action Agency Inc.
The funding will support the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, which provides emergency assistance to eligible residents struggling with home energy bills during extreme winter and summer weather.
