Olive Garden in Columbus is a favorite for Chattahoochee Valley diners. Last month, the popular restaurant announced it is updating its menu with a new section of lighter portion entrées that may appeal to diners seeking lower-priced, smaller meals, including older adults who prefer manageable servings.
The Italian-American restaurant chain is rolling out a “Lighter Portions” menu nationwide by the end of January 2026. The change comes after a trial of the smaller portion offerings at about 40% of Olive Garden restaurants, including classic dishes offered at reduced sizes and prices.
Under the new option, Olive Garden will offer seven popular entrées in smaller sizes, including chicken parmigiana, lasagna classico, five cheese ziti al forno, fettuccine alfredo, cheese ravioli, eggplant parmigiana, and spaghetti with meatballs. Prices are expected to range from about $13 to $15, compared with a typical full-size entrée price of about $16 to $23.
