COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Several Columbus organizations will host events Monday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through community service and celebration.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority chapters Gamma Tau Omega, Rho Rho Omega and Eta Iota will host a joint Drive & Drop service project from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Grace House, 4810 Kolb Ave. The event supports SafeHouse Ministries – Grace House, which serves women and families in the community.
The service project extends the sorority’s 118th Founders’ Day celebration and observes Dr. King’s Day of Service.
Annual Unity Award Breakfast continues 39-year tradition
