Columbus Wants Remote Workers Badly
If you work from home and earn at least $75,000 a year, Columbus, Georgia, wants to pay you to move there.
The city is offering $5,000 in cash, six months of free coworking space at CoWork Columbus, a Young Professionals membership, and a personal coffee meeting with Mayor Skip Henderson.
The catch is you have to commit to living there for at least a year and must currently live at least 75 miles outside Columbus city limits. Columbus is betting that once you arrive, you’ll want to stay, and the perks they’re dangling go way beyond the check.
