Sunday Conversation: Rev. Rudy Allen walks us through history at the Columbus Museum

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Rev. Rudy Allen, 89, has spent more than a half century preaching in the Columbus area.

He led the boycott in Columbus to integrate the city’s public buses. Throughout his life he has fought for justice and equality. Recently, he walked through the History Gallery at the Columbus Museum for a special Sunday Conversation during Black History Month. He talks candidly about the past, the injustices and his hope for the future.

As he was starting his career in the early 1960s, he was also a foot soldier in the Civil Rights movement, first in Nashville, Tenn., then back home in Columbus…
