PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – Phenix City authorities are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2026 after a woman was shot and killed Sunday night.
According to the Russell County Coroner’s Office, 52-year-old Continaer Robinson Evans was shot at a home on 103 17th Avenue South. She was pronounced dead on the scene around 11:50 p.m. on Feb. 15.
At the scene, officers quickly located Willie James Davis Jr., and he was taken into police custody for the shooting. He was charged with murder after an investigation.
Robinson’s body will be transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy…
