Three Columbus airport commissioners resign, and two replacements nominated at special-called meeting

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A special called meeting this week brought significant changes to the Columbus Airport Commission, as three members formally resigned and two new appointees were nominated to fill vacant seats.

During Tuesday morning’s meeting, the commission acknowledged the resignations of James Barker, Philip Badcock and Dannell Marks.

“Public boards periodically experience leadership changes,” Chairwoman Delois “Dee” Marsh said. “The responsibility of this body is to ensure that transition occurs orderly and transparently.”
