Warm with showers and storms at times, cold air on the way

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – After a record high Thursday and record warm lows Friday morning, spring-like temperatures stick around through the first half of the weekend, but we’ll also have showers around at times. Winter cold returns toward the end of the week, especially early next week.

Clouds mixed with some sun on this Friday. Temperatures will be in the 70s all day with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s. Bands of scattered showers will be around, mainly focused in our northern counties through mid morning before slowly pushing southeast through early afternoon. The best chance of some showers in our southern counties will be during the afternoon, evening and nighttime hours.

The front lifts back to the north overnight and early Saturday again. A few showers are possible at times. Lows early Saturday will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s…
