Severe storms bring damage to counties in East Alabama and West Georgia

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A few counties in East Alabama and West Georgia experienced damage and power outages due to severe thunderstorms and winds early Thursday morning.

Impacted areas in Alabama include Lee, Russell and Barbour Counties. In Georgia, damage is being reported in portions of Columbus and Stewart County.
