1 dead, 1 critical after ATV crash in Troy, driver charged

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – One man is dead and another is in critical condition following an ATV crash that happened on Friday, March 6, according to the Troy Police Department.

Robert Hollifield II, 44, of Smiths Station, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Troy police responded to the 2000 block of County Road 1165 at 11:30 p.m. Officers were told a Polaris Ranger driven by Hollifield overturned, injuring two passengers. After further investigation, Hollifield was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jered Heath McNeil, 41, of Taylor, was pronounced dead at the scene. Arthur John Lancaster, 43, of LaGrange, Georgia, was flown by LifeFlight to a hospital in Montgomery, where he remains in critical condition…
