COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — About two months ago, Phenix City native Craig Howard was tabbed as the new executive director of the Columbus Sports and Events Council.
Howard replaces longtime director Merri Sherman, who left the post last year for a job with the Georgia High School Association. Howard comes to Columbus from Alabama, where he held a similar job with the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce.
