COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Happy Thursday! Those temperatures were a little toasty today, nearly 10 degrees warmer than yesterday.
Drought Update: The latest drought update shows little change locally, but the exceptional drought has grown again to our south. Over 80% of Georgia is in a serious drought, and nearly 8% is under an exceptional drought. While this is severe, this is nothing compared to 2007, when 64% of the state saw the highest level of drought.
Friday: With clouds returning tonight and more humidity, some areas of fog will be possible in the morning. The end of the work week is set to be even warmer. Highs will be in the upper 80s, and Columbus could tie our record high of 88 degrees set in 1994…
