Cooler & Dry, Fire Danger Saturday as Red Flag Conditions Develop

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — We’re heading into a warm and sunny afternoon with temperatures quickly climbing into the mid-80s. A few high clouds may pass by, but overall it will feel quite warm for this time of year—perfect for getting outside and enjoying the sunshine.

Later tonight, a weak cold front moves through. While it won’t bring any rain, it will usher in cooler air and set up breezy conditions for the weekend.

Saturday morning starts off noticeably cooler, with temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s. By the afternoon, dry air and gusty winds up to 30 mph will create elevated fire danger.
