Over $400,000 worth of drugs seized after weeks-long investigation

CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY (WRBL) — A weeks-long investigation into a local drug dealer led to the seizure of over $400,000 worth of fentanyl and meth.

The Russell and Muscogee County Sheriff’s Offices began investigating 44-year-old Eddie Gordy Jr. of Russell County after a police chase on March 25th. The chase started near Boswell and Stanford Road and ended near the 600 block of Alabama 169 South near Carson Drive.

Officials identified Diamond Shimere Lavender as a passenger in the vehicle with Gordy during the chase.

Police seized just over 9 lbs. of meth worth $408,000 and nearly 3 oz of fentanyl worth $8,500.
