COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A multi-agency law enforcement operation resulted in 22 arrests and the seizure of trafficking amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group partnered with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operation Unit, Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol, Russell County Sheriff’s Office and the Phenix City Police Department to conduct Operation Safe Streets.
The operation focused on wanted fugitives and narcotics investigations in Muscogee County and Russell County. Law enforcement cleared 55 arrest warrants.
Drug seizures
Officers seized 88 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $26,400, 4.5 kilograms of methamphetamine with a street value of $421,100, 1.45 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $66,070 and 1.9 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $8,700.
