A woman wanted in connection to a deadly shooting at a Phenix City hotel earlier this week has been arrested in Muscogee County, according to authorities.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that the agency’s Collaborative Intelligence Group, alongside the Phenix City Police Department, located and arrested wanted fugitive Tomarius Murphy on May 15, 2026.
Authorities said Murphy was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in Phenix City on May 11. In addition to the murder investigation, Murphy also had outstanding warrants through the Phenix City Police Department for Felony Hindering an Investigation and Tampering with Evidence.
Officials said Murphy was taken into custody in Muscogee County without incident and transported to the Muscogee County Jail, where she is awaiting extradition back to Alabama…
